I love this modern stand to store magazines or newspapers. Better than a pile by the bed or couch. Not that I have a pile, no not me. This stand is made of soft foam and available in black or red. I like that it looks like another piece of furniture and could be part of a room, but would make a statement.

This chair looks pretty comfy, doesn't it? Just perfect for, say, digging into the great American novel . . . or for digging into the great American TV and snack food. I love the color--those crazy cats at Crate & Barrel call it Peacock Blue--and I'm wild about the classic shape, with those cute, little hardwood legs sticking out. It's upholstered in velvet, which I've learned from experience is fairly cat claw-proof, and sturdy enough--I hope--to withstand the abuses of rowdy children.

I love this fun and funky version of a kids commode. My parent's used to keep their china in something similar circa 1978, but it looks way better updated and happenin' to be used in a more modern and kid friendly setting. I love this acrylic stool from Umbra with a built in magazine rack. It is so sleek and modern and would not that it would fit right into my house... but maybe yours, too?
It can be used as a side table as well as a stool, and there are actually coffee table and bar stool versions of the same style/line. I'm seriously considering re-doing one of the rooms in my house to be ultra modern just so I can buy all of this cool Umbra stuff. My only concern about sitting on this stool is that my ass might get warm after sitting on acrylic too long and leave a condensation ass print. It could happen!
