Recycled Dishware We Covet
These durable, 100% recycled melamine bowls from Zac Designs would be perfect for serving foodstuffs at your next cookout, or chips n' dips during a gathering of friends, doncha think?
We're down with the recycling, clearly, but flexibility of use and easy-care also top our list of requirements of housewares, and these certainly fit the bill. Plus, they have a whole line of recycled melamine dishware, including plates and cups, which would be perfect for every day use with the kidlets (if you got em', yo).

I love this! I am adding it to the list of things to buy for my new house...

THey seem like they're virtually indestructible. And anything that looks this good and doesn't brake easily is fine by me!

Love them!
I never figured out why Melmac became extinct. Sure, it was ugly and cheap - but you could throw them at the hubby with no worries about breakage. Of the dishes, anyway. Him? Pffft.

Haha. Naturally, what I meant was "break."

For some reason these remind me of the foam you put down underneath new carpet...not really digging them, but it IS cool that they're recycled.

I want these. My kids have broken so much dishware I could give a fig what it looks like anymore, give me something durable.

LOL @ Elaine C. That was my first thought, too, but they are in pretty colors!

Those are pretty cool colors!

These would be easier to find under my teenagers' beds than my current crockery is...I wouldn't have to go by smell anymore when I want to make brownies and they aren't home to yell at.

These are really gorgeous. I bet lightweight, too.

I bought one of the trays and salsa bowls, and then realized that, yes, they are awesome, but they're made in China, and I'm really trying to stick with stuff that isn't made there.
Too bad I already used them at my awesome party this weekend, so I can't take them back. Actually, it's not too bad, because I love them, and I want to keep them, but I wish they were made here.
