In my search for non-toxic bottles, sippy-cups, and toys for my two sons I stumbled across Anamalz. These little wooden critters are adorable and fun and I don't have to worry about lead or phthalates or constantly having to replace batteries. My three-year-old son loves them because they are portable and pose-able and I love them because they are environmentally friendly (portions of proceeds go to wildlife organizations) and highly unlikely to appear on any alarming recall list.
I purchased mine through Amazon so I could find the dealer with the best prices.
Behold the cute!
Anamalz, $5.95-$6.95 each, @ amazon.com
Thanks this week's awesome participants, and please keep your personal coveting picks coming!

I first saw Animalz at my new fave online and brick-n-mortar shop, The Pajama Squid. If you buy your Animalz from this online site, you'll be supporting a new woman-owned independent biz!

I'm all for recycling and reducing waste, but I think the cloth menstrual pads fall under the icky category.

Aw, I love the Animalz!

My daughter loves animals and we recently found these animals at Target. They were on the clearance shelves and we got each one for $1.74. I got everything except the elephant, I'll have to buy the elephant on amazon now.

Hi,
I also bought my Anamalz from The Pajama Squid, http://www.ThePajamaSquid.com and it is a better, if not the same deal as the Amazon prices listed above.
I suggest doing a bit more research, because honestly Amazon does not always have the best deal, and in my opinion, it is better to support the independent businesses out there, as opposed to the others.
Anyways, I had a great experience with The Pajama Squid and just wanted others to know!

Yeah, I can't go the cloth route either. With my "issues" it just wouldn't work out.

I'm not one to go the cloth route either, but those pads are really adorable!

Regarding the cloth menstrual pads, just have to say it....
Diva cup!
Less mess, easier to clean, and way less ick factor.

Thanks for the links on the animals. Those would be perfect for our preschool.

I want to be honest - those pads are creeping me the eff out.

"Dear We Covet,
When I think of menstrual pads, I think of you."
Classic.
